Daiya New York Cheesecake

Background: I have been wanting to try this for months! I always see it in the supermarket but I never had a reason to buy it. My boyfriend and I got it for dessert because we were making pizza but we got too full for even the thought of cheesecake. The problem was, I already defrosted it and you’re supposed to eat it within 48 hours. So, I did what I had to do and ate a slice for the review. This cake is vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free.


Macros: The macros on this are a little crazy, one serving had 31 grams of fat and 21 grams of saturated fat (that’s 105% your daily serving of saturated fat). One serving is also 480 calories so this is definitely a treat.


Taste: I absolutely love the crust. It was sweet and added more dimension to the cake. The cake itself definitely deserves a topping in my opinion, like whipped cream and fruit. After that, it would be perfect. It was also a little tart the more I kept eating. Overall, I would get this again to bring to a party so i’m not devouring the whole thing.


They also have a strawberry cheesecake flavor that l’m probably going to review next for you guys. Let me know if there’s anything else you guys would like me to review!
